Douglas Place Halfway House offers a safe, sober living environment for clients struggling to overcome chemical depency. At present, Douglas offers two types of placement:

Douglas Place is located on the east side of East Grand Forks, MN. It's address is 1111 Gateway Dr. NE, EGF, MN 56721. East Grand Forks has a population of about 7500 people and is located on the banks of the Red River in western Minnesota. Immediately across the Red River is Grand Forks, ND a city with a population of about 50,000. It's address is 1111 Gateway Dr. NE and is located adjacent to US Highway 2.

Clients who receive onsite programming with one of our licensed addiction counselors will have their progress charted by their counselor on a weekly basis. A copy of these progress notes are mailed out weekly to their county case manager and if applicable, to their probation officer if their probation officer desires it and the proper releases of information are signed by the client. This represents the minimum amount of information you will receive from Douglas place. Frequently, the client's LADC will communicate with the client's case manager by phone or mail. Case managers are encouraged to telephone their client's addiction counselor at any time if they have any questions or concerns.
Yes, once you know the room number of a client, you may dial directly by dialing (218) 793-2xxx where 'xxx' is the client's room number. You may also dial the Douglas Place front desk at (218) 793-0420 and have your call routed to a client's room.
